Conte is the general manager of MSN® Marketplaces, which is part of the MSN core business unit at Microsoft Corp., and is responsible for MSN’s efforts in music, radio, movies, television and shopping.

Conte is a Microsoft veteran and was the lead designer of Excel and Office 95. He also led the launch of Windows® 95, Microsoft® Internet Explorer and software solutions for digital TV. Conte has a double degree in computers and management from New York University and was a DJ in college. Conte has also raced cars professionally and is a motorcycle enthusiast. Originally from New York, Conte now resides in Seattle.
