Peter Diemer, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Musicrypt has over
25 years of experience in marketing, sales, and business development for
the music and entertainment industry. Diemer is responsible for all record
label distribution, marketing, and business development for Musicrypt. His
industry experience includes strategic positions as Vice President, in
which he was responsible for overseeing promotional activity for radio and
television, artist relations and related government affairs for global
record labels such as Capitol-EMI and MCA/Universal Records.
Prior to Musicrypt, Diemer held the position of Vice President National
Promotion, managing all artist relations and promotional efforts for EMI
Music Canada where he was responsible for all related activities for major
national artists and international superstars such as The Beatles, Garth
Brooks, Coldplay, Norah Jones, Kylie Minogue, Sarah Brightman, Radiohead,
Robbie Williams, Everclear, Blur, The Beastie Boys, Tim McGraw, and Leann
Rimes.
Diemer was also responsible for other leading artists such as, U2, Melissa
Etheridge, Steve Earle, Huey Lewis and The News, Billy Idol, R.E.M. and
Fine Young Cannibals during his tenor at Universal Music, (previously MCA
Records).
Diemer’s music career started out in Broadcasting as Music Director for
one of Canada’s leading rock station, CJAY 92 in Calgary.
Peter Diemer has a Graduate Degree in Television, Stage and Radio Arts
from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He currently serves on the
Advisory Board for Crossflux Inc, a leading developer of broadband media
software engines and the developer of the Quantum Mesh technology. He is a
Board Member of Nomadic-E! a Vancouver based wireless firm. He is an
active member of CARAS (Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences),
CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association), ECMA (East Coast Music
Association), and a participating member of the JUNO AWARDS Marketing
Committee. Peter chaired the JUNO AWARDS Marketing Committee in 1998 and
2002.
