Shahid is a Managing Director in BearingPoint’s Media Industry Practice
responsible for leading its Entertainment industry segment, which includes
Entertainment, Music, Sports and Video Game providers. In this role Shahid
is responsible for developing BearingPoint’s strategy and thought
leadership for this segment, as well as for managing key client
relationships and engagements.
Previously, Shahid was a Client Services Partner at IBM Global Services (IGS),
where he led the activities of the various arms of IGS focusing on East
Coast based Publishing and Entertainment clients. Prior to joining IBM,
Shahid launched and led the Media Industry practice for the leading
e-business consulting firm, ZEFER. Shahid has also worked at Deloitte
Consulting, JP Morgan and McGraw Hill, where he participated in and
managed Strategy and IT projects.
Shahid is a seasoned Management Consulting and Information Technology (IT)
Services professional with a strong background in developing and leading
Services businesses. He has spent his career of managing senior level
executive relationships and working with clients to diagnose their
strategic, operational and technological issues and develop innovative
solutions to address them. He has significant knowledge of the Music and
Entertainment industries, and how emerging technologies are verdanaing
them. Over the course of his career, Shahid has served leading Media firms
such as BMG, Warner Music Group, Viacom, etc.
Shahid holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from New York University's
Stern School of Business. He has published numerous white-papers and
articles on topics pertinent to the Media Industry. He is also a frequent
speaker at industry conferences. Shahid serves on the Advisory Boards of
two technology start-ups, as well as on the Board of Directors of a
non-profit organization that focus on literacy.
