Biography

Josh Rabinowitz has produced over 8500 tracks for brands, cinema, recording labels and television. His branded work includes several ground-breaking initiatives utilizing artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Chuck D, Run DMC (their last known recording together) and Rihanna.
Rabinowitz been called a “New Music Mogul” by Fast Company; “Beethoven’s Greatest Fan” by NPR; and “The Voice” of the music-branding space in the press. He’s spoken at just about every major global music conference. In 2007 Rabinowitz created the “Grey Music Seminar” at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity where he has presented artists like Iggy Pop, Marilyn Manson, Lou Reed, Yoko Ono, Patti Smith, Tony Bennett, Courtney Love and Debbie Harry.
Rabinowitz has been an Adjunct Professor at NYU and The New School, and a columnist for Billboard’s “With the Brand”. He’s been cited in The NY Times, Rolling Stone, Crain’s, Forbes, etc., and has appeared on Bloomberg TV News and NPR as an expert on Music in Media.
Rabinowitz was chosen to be the inaugural President of the Cannes Music Lions Jury this past June.
Last but not least, Rabinowitz has been a bandleader, trombonist, father and husband based in the world’s cultural capital – aka Brooklyn
